Kuzamura Ubuzima

Clotilde Niyimurera.

I am 31 years old and I have a patient in dermatology.  If KU was not there, my patient would suffer, not get a porridge and food on time and in a sufficient amount.  It could be a big challenge for me.  God bless the one who first had the idea to start this program.  I wish I could meet them and thank them personally.  I also thank everyone who participates in its daily activities, and who makes everything happen and does this so well.

Chadrack Niyonkuru.

I'm a caregiver to my young brother in surgery who has broken his leg.  Now, it's been one month that my patient is depending on KU, and he is better than before.  It was terrible because nobody brought me food, and surviving was tough.  Fortunately, I've found KU.  I was very pleased by how we were well received by KU staff from our first day on the list of beneficiaries.  Therefore, I wish blessings to KU.

Fils NDAYITEGEYE

I am a caregiver in the surgery ward.  Before coming to KU, it was a big challenge for me to find something to eat for my patient.  But now I am receiving nutritious meals from people who did not know me, and I did not know them before.  This really touched my heart.  The morning sport program helped me to relax my muscles because I used to do strong physical activities, and now sometimes my muscles hurt.  The breathing exercises improved my respiratory health.  I think I will never stop this breath work.

Beneficiary Testimonials

“Thank you for providing my family member with food. After six weeks of being in hospital and being provided with food every day, my patient is now well enough to go home, and we are very happy. I will put into practice what I’ve learnt during the gardening lessons and am going to start making my own compost once I am home.”

Marie Rose Mutuyimana

“My child has been hospitalized for two months.  I have been a KU beneficiary for one month.  I used to struggle a lot in the first month before being on the list.  Whenever I will be discharged, I will never forget your charity activities for me and my child.  May God bless you!  Thank you very much!”

“Thank you for being here every day and giving us food. Because of KU we have not had to worry about where the next meal will come from. Please keep doing your project and supporting other patients who are in need.”

“I come from Kinazi in the Ruhango district (Southern province).  I have been in the hospital for five days.  It was yesterday when I heard about Kuzamura Ubuzima from other caregivers and I was so interested to know more about it.  They explained everything to me.  You may ask yourself why I start seeking for help already after five days.  But, if I told you how much money I need to pay the hospital bills and medicines that I didn’t get in the hospital, you would be surprised.  I am supposed to buy all those medicines at the pharmacy and pay for them myself.  That’s why I had no more money to buy food for me and for my kids.  When I was added on Kuzamura Ubuzima’s list, I started having food and porridge every day for free.  I am more than thankful to everyone who is involved in this program.  May God bless you all!”
