Laurette Mushimiyimana is a Rwandan , Married with 3 kids, a girl and two boys. She has a Master degree in Public Health and is doing her PhD in the same field . She has been in different leadership positions as manager and program coordinator for the last 10 years up to now. She is the founder and a Co founder of two local Organizations in Rwanda as philanthropist. The local nonprofit organization founded by her, are so close to her heart. KU or GH (Growing Health) is an organization that has been founded in 2015 for the purpose of feeding poor hospitalized patients who cannot afford food while hospitalized and are at very high risk of being malnourished, not being able to cope with the illness which some time may result death. Laurette has been working for GH as Program Coordinator from the very day of its foundation up to this day.

She is also the founder of another organization, Amizero y’Ubuzima (Hope for life) which takes care of Special Need Education and health of children with intellectual disabilities. She owns a center where about 45 poor children with intellectual disabilities are being rehabilitated and educated. Laurette loves these poor children and makes them feel loved and cared for in this center.

In 2016, she has been involved in Politics and was elected as the vice Chair of Gisagara District Council  of the Southern Province of Rwanda the position in which she is in up to today. She is nominated by the same district council as the President of the board of the District Hospital for 5 years now. In spite of many responsibilities, she balances the triple roles of being a mother, a wife and a leader. She has been selected to attend international trainings on Multilevel Water Governance in 2021 ( Netherlands) and Woman Political leadership Program 2022 in Sweden  and She is eager to strengthen her leadership skills, be a role model woman leader and an Agent of Change.
